Silent Stories is a collaborative piece. An ad was placed on kijiji for stories of women and violence. From the responses, photographs were created to represent these stories. The artist then recorded herself telling the stories, and altered her voice to create the impression of anonymity.
The piece attempts to open up dialogue between survivors and the public about domestic violence. And to eliminate the stigma surrounding this persistent issue.
